Career Opportunity

Parents, Substitutes, and current school employees are eligible to work at After Hours Student Enrichment Services. Schedules are flexible. Work anywhere from 1-4 afternoons weekly, for one to two short hours. Flexible schedules.

Pay ranges from $20 to $25 per hour for adults, and $13 to $17 per hour for teens (classroom helpers).  Click on the link below to get started. Remember to upload your Resume, and complete the appropriate agreement form below!

Teachers and Helpers

The Teacher and Helper in each room are responsible for providing the students with a safe and enriching classroom environment. Both of these are paid positions. They will supervise and assist students with daily homework, and facilitate older students helping younger siblings and others in small group settings when appropriate. The teacher and helper can get creative providing games and activity choices for the day from supplies which are provided to you. Some type of physical activity will always be made available and encouraged, whether indoors in the gym, or outside. Classroom teachers should be able to direct and supervise the helper and any student volunteers, resolve any conflicts, and re-direct students if needed.

Student Volunteers

The student volunteers in our program will assist the teacher and classroom helper in many invaluable ways. They can lead a fun group activity, assist with homework, play card games or board games with students, or give instructions for a craft project. Student volunteers may supervise physical play time and make sure students are following rules and maintaining a culture of "treating others how we would like to be treated". Any problems or issues may be reported to the Teacher or Helper, and are not to be dealt with by the Student Volunteer. Community service hours may be earned for volunteer time for your school or club (NHS, Lighthouse, scouts), and will look great on college applications.
